Sponsored by Just Add Kids

There is a great (and delicious) way that you can show your support of the Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc.'s Stop Child Abuse and Neglect Program at our fifth annual ice cream tasting FUNdraiser, SCAN's Cones For Kids. Funds raised at the event will help to spread support and expand SCAN's audience base so more children can benefit from the important safety messages. This unique, family friendly event will be held on Wednesday, July, 15 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Racine Masonic Center, 1012 Main Street, Racine. Read more...

Bring the whole family to sample mini-cones from Racine's favorite ice cream, custard, and gelato shops. Caesar's Frozen Custard, Culver's Restaurant, Georgie Porgie's Burger and Custard Tree Fort, Divino Gelato, and Sugar Shack have all donated unique flavors of ice cream or frozen custard that guests can taste and then vote for their favorite to win the SCAN’s Golden Scoop Award.
SCAN (2)You can also experience the twisted creations of The Big Balloon Tycoon and use photo props for snapshots to take home. Kids can decorate fabric book bags with help from the Racine Art Museum and get a free copy of the Rana DiOrio's children's book "What Does it Mean to be Safe" while supplies last. Adults can browse through the many offerings in the silent auction including Disney passes, restaurant and movie gift cards, festival and sports tickets, overnight stays, and many things perfect for family fun. Can’t attend but still want to help? Go to conesforkids.blogspot.com for a list of current auction items and contact SCAN to place proxy bids.

Event tickets are on sale now at the cost of $7 for advance sales, $9 for tickets purchased at the door, and children under 3 are free. This price gets you entry into the event, a mini cone from each of our sponsors and all activities. Bring your family! Bring your friends! Bring your APPETITE!

Space is limited and advance tickets are recommended. If you are interested in attending this unique event, please contact Karen at 619-1633, karen.fetherston@lsswis for advance ticket sales.

Get in on the dialog, join the conversation, RSVP and invite your friends on the SCAN's Cones for Kids Facebook Event page.
